Character Info:
Name: Sina [Last Name Redacted]
Pronouns: She/Her
Age: 22
Height: 5'3"
Build: Narrow
Hair: Blonde
Eyes: Blue
Backstory:
Sina comes from a world in which magic exists, but very few people actually have the power to harness it. She is one of these rare people with the ability to do magic. As soon as the ability was noticed in her at the age of six, she was whisked away by her country's government and brought to the royal court, where all such people are raised and trained. The Palace of the Sorcerers, which is its own grand building within the royal city, acts kind of like a school for these budding sorcerers where they can be taught by older sorcerers to be: a) fine ladies and gentlemen, indistinguishable from nobles in polite society, and b) powerful living weapons for the country's military. Sorcerers are, in essence, slaves to the government, forbidden to choose their own paths in life and expected to both fight for their country and act as members of the court.
Sina, who is exceptionally good at magic and has learned to be obedient, was a star pupil and a favorite of her teachers. She graduated to become a Master Sorceress when she was fourteen, and then she was adopted into the family of one of the Dukes of the realm for them to finish bringing her up. The Duke could use her as a personal weapon to keep his area of the kingdom safe, and the Duchess and other family members could mold her into a perfect lady. Unsurprisingly, this situation was ripe for abuse, but Sina couldn't do much about it except try to be as obedient as possible and avoid making her adopted family upset with her.
Sina will be allowed to leave her adopted family when the central royal government is ready to marry her off to some other nobleman, at which point she will be expected to be her husband's personal weapon and the mother of his children (who will be slightly more likely to become sorcerers themselves). She is well aware of her responsibilities here, and she knows that she is as likely to be abused by her husband as by anyone else who has control of her life. But there's not much she can do about it aside from keep her head down and do as she's told.
